YANG Kuei-Mei
Actors/Actress
Yang Kuei-Mei (1959-) is a senior actress. She has been nominated for the Golden Horse Awards five times and won the Best Leading Actress for "The Moon Also Rises” directed by Lin Cheng-Sheng. She won the Best Actress Award at the Singapore International Film Festival three times ("Hill of No Return" directed by Wang Toon; "Vive l'Amour" and "The Hole" directed by Tsai Ming-Liang). She also collaborated with directors such as Ang Lee, John Woo, and Lin Cheng-Sheng, and has been nominated for or won many domestic and foreign awards, including the Academy Awards and at Cannes Film Festival, Venice International Film Festival, Busan International Film Festival, and Berlin International Film Festival. Her works include "My Beloved", "Eat Drink Man Woman”, "A Journey in Spring", "Yen and Ai-Lee", etc.
