Born in 1948, Hsiu-Shen Liang is an actor, director and producer, and has sat on the final-stage jury of Golden Horse Awards Judging Panel. In 1977, he starred in Heroes of the Eastern Skies and became a well-known actor in the industry. In 1979, he was nominated for Best Actor of Golden Horse Awards with Chun Han. Thereafter, he became a director and producer, and was nominated for Golden Bell Awards many times for Best Television Series, Best Directing for a Television Series, Best Writing for a Television Series, Best Leading Actor and Best Supporting Actor. He won Best Leading Actor in a Television Series of Golden Bell Awards with Home.
