Leon DAI
Director , Scriptwriter , Actors/Actress
Born in Taitung in 1966, Leon Dai (戴立忍) obtained a degree from the Department of Theatre Atrs of theNational College of Arts, the predecessor of the Taipei National University of the Arts. In 1990, he started to perform in theaters, and tried directing for stage play as well as writting scripts. Since 1993, Lai has started acting in films, theaters, television dramas, and commercial films in which his acting skill is highly affirmed. The short film "Summers (兩個夏天)" directed by him in 2000 won the Golden Horse Award for best short film and the top prize at the Taipei Film Festival. His 2009 feature film "No Puedo Vivir Sin Ti (不能沒有你)" earned him the Golden Horse Award for best director. He has also continued acting in films and dramas actively in recent years.
