Double Edge Entertainment was founded in America, 2001 by Mr. Bobby Sheng. DEE used to invest in American independent films. Now, the company focuses more on Asian titles after moving back to Taiwan in 2004. In the same year, DEE has expanded into corporation, and shareholders include: BenQ Corporation, National Development Fund, Chinatrust Venture Capital Corporation. In 2007, Double Edge Entertainment co-produced & financed 3 feature films: Smother, The Women, King of Fighters plus a thriller, a comedy, and a horror feature - all 6 films will be filmed in Asia.
Starting 2011, Double Edge Entertainment co-produced and co-distributed Asian titles such as : The Soul of Bread and Mayday 3DNA. DEE would like to expand the cinematic business into Asian territories like: China, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
Now, Double Edge Entertainment is supervised by theatrical film veteran Mr. Wolf Chen. Double Edge Entertainment's distribution division specializes in cinema for theatrical, television and home entertainment in Taiwan. Mr. Chen's releases include: Lord of the Rings 1&2, Rush Hours 1&2, Talk to Her, Cutthroat Island, The Lion King, Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain, plus over 100 straightto- video titles.
