Established in 2004, Ocean Deep Films is a collaboration of Taiwan's most internationally experienced filmmakers devoted to making quality movies, TV series and documentaries. In 2005, Ocean Deep Films had produced feature films "Fishing Luck" which was selected by APEC Special Program section in Pusan Int'l Film Festival and Winds of Asia section in Tokyo Int'l Film Festival, "The Pain of Others" which had won many recognitions including, the Best Narrative Film in Taipei Film Festival, Grand Prize in South Taiwan Film & Video Festival, Best Fiction Award & Best Screenplay in Golden Harvest Film Awards and a nomination for the Best Short Film in the Golden Horse Award. From 2006 to 2007, Ocean Deep continues to produce great works including "Chiang Ching-kuo," a documentary that received nationwide reviews, "God Man Dog," a film that consists of social issues and was selected for the New Currents Competition in the Pusan Int'l Film Festival, the International Forum of New Cinema Competition in the Berlin Int'l Film Festival, also had won three nominations for Best Editing, Best Art Direction and Best Original Screenplay in Golden Horse Awards. And the Sci-Fi romance genre that has never been seen before in Taiwan, "The Wall-Passer" was selected by Winds of Asia section in Tokyo Int'l Film Festival and Brussels Int'l Festival of Fantastic Film. Two more films were completed in the 2008, "Winds of September," a coming of age film that tells the story of a group of teenagers and their path of becoming an adult and "Tea Fight," a commercial film collaboration with Japanese film companies. In 2009, we have produced the first Sweden-Taiwan co-production film “Miss Kicki”, which won the Special Mention Award at the Pusan Int’l Film Festival, the Rainer-Werner-Fassbinder Prize at the Mannheim-Heidelberg Int’l Film Festival and the Telia Film Award at the Stockholm Int’l Film Festival. In 2010, we mark the production of Ocean Deep’s first self-financed suspense drama “Zoom Hunting”. The film was then selected for New York Asian American Int’l Film Festival, Busan Int’l Film Festival (A Window on Asian Cinema Section), Tokyo Int’l Film Festival (Winds of Asia) and the Debut\Second Feature by Director competition of Mumbai Third Eye Asian Film Festival. In 2011, the film “The Next Magic” was completed in China. And in 2012, Yang Ya-che’s latest film “GF*BF” is co-production with Atom Cinema.
